NACP Projects delivered a Construct Only EWP MEWC-1 2014 Contract to supply and install a new 33/11/0.4 kV substation at Range E, increasing the capacity of the existing electrical infrastructure. The works involved decommissioning and removing redundant assets, replacing the existing electrical deviation pole with new in-ground service connections, and installing a new elevated transportable switch room building (90m²). Two 3,000 kVA 33/11 kV power transformers were installed with concrete bunding and associated cabling to the new substation.
Additional works included in-ground cabling, an earthing ring, and the construction of a new substation compound complete with fencing and lighting.
